Iraq 2003-13, the US rethoric of war: A journey through words

A well researched, original interactive guide by BBC Mundo’s Inma Gil and BBC World Service Online Specials, looking at the language used by the United States government about Iraq, and how it evolved over the last decade.

With the support of BBC Monitoring, we analysed over 100 US government statements on Iraq, extracted key phrases that shaped the way the conflict was reported, and presented them in a clickable guide, offering the insight of an Arab Media specialist for each key term, as well as quotes using the terms.

This is the outcome of one of the short development attachments for journalists from the language services to work on data and visual journalism projects.
